http://blogs.linux.ie has just been announced on our LUG mailing list so I thought I should mention it here too.

It's running a modified b2. I added the following:
    Support for Smarty templates. The template edit page lists the templates used and they can all be edited.
    Smarty caching is also used so pages are always generated from the db. The index page and rss2 feed are both cached.
    Smarty security settings are activated, so the administrator can sleep at night!
    New blogs can be created by simply filling in an online form. New users are validated by an admin (probably not needed but I want to know who's going to be on the site.)
    Added a "last updated" javascript generated table, and a "User List" page.

Source will be released in the next few days after it's cleaned up a bit.
