I really liked the extended entries feature in Greymatter, but I need features of b2 so I switched, but the one thing I miss the most is extended entries. Is this really not there? I noticed that my extended ones from greymatter converted that way, but I don't see such an option in b2's entry window. Is this something that can be added easily?
Thanks,
Josiah

From the readme.html
Code: | To enter an extended entry, just type <!--more--> in your entry. The part before that comment is the teaser, the part after it is the extended entry. To force the extended entry not to show the teaser message, type <!--noteaser--> somewhere in your entry. |
Hope that helps. _________________ 7 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy |

Thanks mcgub, that's what I'm looking for. Anyone got a hack to allow me to click a button to enter those two pieces of text in automatically on the entry window? That would be even easier. I don't know much PHP, but maybe I can at least put a little pit of text in somewhere on that page to remind me until someone gets around to it.
I guess I need to go back over the README. Probably some other goodies too. |

It's a little complicated...but it's sweet when you figure it out... |
Thanks, that's just what I'm looking for. Candle made the same suggestion in PM so thanks to him also. |

The last one, it's called "page"
Maybe I should call it "more" ? _________________ -François

can you change the text from "more..." to something else like "click here to read the entire entry" _________________ www.mattmargolis.com

Open the main template for your blog and search for "more".
Replace with the text you want.
Can it be more simple?
the line to change is:
<?php the_content("=> Read more!",0,'','<p>[More:]</p>'); ?>
1st part is displayed as a link.
2nd part is displayed once you clicked the link.
BTW, you know there's a b2evolution support forum that would be more appropriate for this? _________________ -François
