The long awaited release of the next version of b2 has been made!

This release fixes many issues that have been found over the past months. There is little new functionality added in this release except for the calendar module. Alex King has provided several changes that have been incorporated in this release. Many users of b2 are already using these changes.

This release can be downloaded from Sourceforge.

What fallows is a description of what changes have been made.

xytx,

I just retested the popup comments on my test server with the 0.6.2 version and they work as expeted; popup window, fill in text, click ok, pop refreshes with new content, main page shows "comment" count bump with refresh of main page.

What did not work for you?

Same here. Those bug fixes aren't that significant anyway...

I get this information below:
[quote]Notice: Undefined index: comments in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\b2\b2-include\b2template.functions.php on line 752

Notice: Undefined index: ctp in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\b2\b2-include\b2template.functions.php on line 754
1 comentário ]
[/quote]

I try to solve the problem of this message put a @ in the referred variables to hide the error, bu tI don´t think this a good solution.

The popup open fine, fixing or not with the @, but when I try to send the comment: The page http:\\locahost\b2\<br <--- is not found!

The comment is record in the database, but the mail is not sent.

Hi Fernando,

These messages are not really errors, they are 'notices' that a variable has been used without defining them first. It is true that one should try not to do that, but it is not a problem. However, because the message is sent to the browser, it can mess things up and most certainly makes this look bad.

These can be avoided by tell PHP not to report these "notices" to the user.
If you include the following in a .htaccess file that is in the b2 directory, the notices will go away. Just add this to your .htaccess file. If you do not currently have a .htaccess file (most likely you don't), just create a text file with the following as content and upload it to your site:
Code:

# this will set the error_reporting level to remove 'Notices'
<IfModule mod_php4.c>
    php_value error_reporting 247
</IfModule>

HI Michael,

It´s OK Now... I change the error messages in the php.ini (I use IIS, not APACHE, .htaccess will not work) and everything works fine. Probably the /<br was generated by the notices.

Thansk a lot,
