So, what's happening to b2 then? Is it going to be replaced by wordpress, so will there be a new version of b2? _________________ tin-men

I like the layout of b2.
wordpress.org somehow scares me...

Too professional? I'm not sure how to take that. :) _________________ Matthew Mullenweg

Like many others, I have my ver. 0.6.1 so well hacked now that I dread the idea of changing to another version unless it is dramatically better. I haven't seen such a beast yet. The latest hack, threaded comments, pretty much ended my wish list of features. _________________ 7 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy |

I'll try to explain it:
I'm 17 now, and b2 has a light (do you say light? not sure...) website, no dark colors, and I know I do get help here.
Wordpress however looks like a bank website or maybe the FT or something.
Nothing a teen would be looking for.
Even though the layout is nice on it's own way...
I just love b2 b/c of how it looks like and b/c of the community.
And of course, mcgub is right, too:
I've installed a few hacks now, and I can hardly remember which ones... :-\
That's why I'm actually not thinking about upgrading or changing... _________________ Make me happy.

Well thanks for the feedback. I'll keep it in mind.
If you don't upgrade, at least patch the security vulnerabilities. One of the things we're doing in WordPress is trying to add features as well as bug fixes to encourage people to upgrade regularly. We're also integrating some of the better hacks so that comes without any extra trouble. _________________ Matthew Mullenweg

yeah b2's interface is shiny, sort of sleek, wordpress looks like a corporate front... not as nice, and sort of primitive in comparison
hey is use b2++ if i could get it wokring but oh well |

Make wordpress more shiny
good things to add are: Make navigation Crystal Blocks...
that's always good
but I probably will consider using WP as a Coverup to php-nuke or postnuke, it looks better than both and is more customizable _________________ ||Boy-Blog_NU || MCN / GT Records || |
