Not sure if I can post this here so mods remove it if you like.

but I run a small webhosting company and would like to offer free hosting to anyone who uses B2. I love this program greatly and am not much of a programer my self but would like to help support the spread of it.

feel free to contact me directly if you are interested

Am I able to use my own copy of b2, or do i have to use your supplied copy?
Is it a subdomain or a /~myaccount?
How's the weather down east? Smile

you can use your own copy of b2 as long as you keep it up todate and patched and its a subdomain hosting

off of www.memenethosted.com

you would be supplied with

ftp
cpanel
20 megs of space
1 gig transpher
and all sorts of other little tidbits

we can host your domain if you have one.

Are competitors allowed to post bids as well?

Check out Collectrix.com if you have a chance, we use Wordpress as the default install (if you're starting out), though you can choose pretty much whatever one you want to use. If you have an existing one we can help move it over too (that's what most of our clients are).

Anyways, good to see that other hosts are pushing blogs too, there's a huge market for them.

there will be no ads. Memenet has a strict policy about advertising. you may place one of our buttons on your site if you like but at no time are you forced to advertise for us.

our main server i located in the NAC data center in New Jersey. it is a celeron 2.2 with 512 ram. we hope to upgrade in the very near future to a pentium 4 2.4

and acctually since our server has been live we have not had ftp go down once.

Spree! I have my b2 on my domain (or one of them) but I'm tired of the URL and everything. I'm only 14, so I can't afford hosting myself, poor me. Leave it up to moi to pick the most expensive hobby in town, web design. Anyways I have a friend with her own server and she hosts my two domains for free, she's so nice. I was thinking of getting a seperate domain, solely for my blog, which runs on b2 (and will forever). Anyways, I obviously couldn't pay for hosting, but would the offer be open to me to host a domain if I could find the scraps to purchase a sererate domain? If so, would is still be open in July? [As that is when my birthday is, would have more money for a domain].

I would of course be willing to link memenethostingCOM and give credit for the free hosting.
