is it possible to have someone banned from posting on my blog by using cookies?
Some people have decided to use anonymizers to bypass the IP banning. |

Well, cookies can be deleted. If someone is harrassing you to the point where you can't take it anymore, get his/her IP, and contact their ISP. |

it isn't water-tight, but maybe you could retrieve the user-login (provided he registered on your blog of course) from his cookie, and make a separate table with banned user-logins.
then all you have to do is compare...
as i said, pretty crappy solution, but that seems like one of the easiest "banning using cookies" thing....
it just doesn't work in general IMHO, but that's another thing =P |
