is it possible to have someone banned from posting on my blog by using cookies?

Some people have decided to use anonymizers to bypass the IP banning.

Well, cookies can be deleted. If someone is harrassing you to the point where you can't take it anymore, get his/her IP, and contact their ISP.

it isn't water-tight, but maybe you could retrieve the user-login (provided he registered on your blog of course) from his cookie, and make a separate table with banned user-logins.

then all you have to do is compare...
as i said, pretty crappy solution, but that seems like one of the easiest "banning using cookies" thing....
it just doesn't work in general IMHO, but that's another thing =P
