All the entries? Or just the ones posted from work? If you're posting to the same server from two different locations and seeing different results, then you can be pretty darn certain that the server isn't the issue. The only case in which the time is specifically set is when you (the author) select the "edit timestamp" checkbox.
Can you describe the problem with more details? There is no such thing as too much information. |

I am using the same server, yes.
The ONLY change I've made is I am trying to ping blogroll.com now when I update (I just modified the weblogs.com method).
I am offhandedly wondering if a change they made last night is making this happen. Are yours being backdated? From what I can see by looking through the code, there isn't anything that the lj-update does to turn on/off backdating when it posts to lj, and they did make a significant amount of server changes according to http://www.livejournal.com/community/lj_maintenance . |

Okay, it's not happening anymore.
I wonder if my message to them made them fix a bug. Hm. |

It's very possible. I won't rant about the way Lj is run but let's just go with I have very strong opinions, and I do believe that I get my money's worth out of them...
FYI: I'm a free user :) |

OK this is the thing.
I am using B2 which I installed using this file:
b2-0.6.2.1-20030625.zip
Just tell me in plain english, what to do to get my posts auto publish in the LJ. I just created an account there (all my friends are there ) and dont want to manually post at both the places and I love B2 too much to discard it _________________ My Blog | Why Opera? 1 2 | No to Internet Explorer? |

Ohhhkay - So I made it through the thread! YES!
First off I have a issue with LJ being there- then dissapearing... detailed here -
http://tidakada.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=3931
Second off - WordPress - with fears and such of needing to convert over... will support of WP be part of the list your backlogged on?
Thank you for a VERY VERY cool feature and all your time man, and you are the MAN! Thanks in advance, and good luck with your updating!

Support for WP is highly unlikely as I've re-written a great deal of the internal b2 code at this point. Everything that LJUpdate was is part of YABBOB now.
As for the LJ Login appearing and disappearing, that is pretty damn odd. The display of those fields is controlled by the $use_ljupdate variable in b2config.php so if it is set to true (1), they should show up. Everytime.
ljupdate does NOT remove your username and password unless the b2 account is deleted.
Did you update to a later version than ljupdate-0.2 while working thru the thread or are you still on that old version? LJ changed the handling of string data a while ago, and that required changing the xmlrpc encoding... you should be on ljupdate-0.5 + patches at least. |

Bah no WP love! This is what I had feared
In my config file that I posted though, yea it's set to 1...
What's odd here is this. I fully understand that I'm running the older .2 and that makes SENSE that I just need to update and perhaps that will fix it... But the otherside is this - the guy with the EXACT SAME INSTALL AS ME - /blog/carlos instead of /blog/saif - is up and running no problem...
Beyond the fact he started actually blogging later than me... And the fact that I might have put in random info into the LJ log in that in the back of my mind says "yea it was wrong so it - uhh -took it away?!" - there are no differences in our install...
Or so I thought. I did find a lovely little "wp-links" and "wp-admin" dir's that have been added to mine - but not activated... So my friend that set this up - must have been using my blog install as a potential test dummy - and gave me the ability to convert to WP... Could that install have hosed the LJ though'?! That's the only thing I'm left with - because .2 is what both Carlos and I are running on -_-
Anyway - I'll try and get that patch on mine soon - and see if it helps me... Otherwise I'll just tear all my hair out and go WP

hi, it's me again.
remember the backdating issue? i've found that when i post to my b2 after, say, five pm, it for some reason automatically ticks "backdate entry" on the lj side. so, that would explain why i saw it when i was at home and not at work -- i was at work until five but i have NO idea why this would happen. i have to automatically go into those lj posts and untick it for them to show in the friends view.
weirdness. any ideas? |

Okay, weird thing... suddenly, when I hit "edit", if I included a song in my "music" section, the artist comes up but everything after my first " doesn't.
Weird? Bug? Wha? |

Fixed and changes were commited to CVS
You can just grab the new moods.inc and music.inc, thought depending on when you last updated, a full refresh wouldn't hurt (much). |
