I'm looking at blog software to host for my customers that want blogs.
B2 seems to be a good system, but, I have a couple of concerns.
The cafelog site seems to be dormant.
The B2 software hasn't had a release in a long time.
So, is there a development community? Is someone managing the CVS, etc?
I do have 3 feature questions:
Can more than one blog be run from a single copy of b2? (Moveable Type allows subdomains running on a single copy of the software.)
Does b2 have an RSS feed (news aggregator?)
I keep seing stuff about b2 templates, but, I've never actually seen any templates anywhere. Do templates exist?

Hi there,
As written by Michel himself here, b2 isn't being developed any longer. The next official branch of b2 is now WordPress. There are other developments such as b2evo and bBlog (if there's others, I forgot or I do not know about them).

b2 (this site) does not support multiple blogs, however, b2evo does.
I really do not have the answers to your other questions. I'm not really sure what you mean by "templates" (I know what they are, but I do not know specifically what you mean).

I haven't seen any premade b2 or b2 spinoff index.php (the "template") webpages, however, there are Blogger skins ( www.blogskins.com ) and some tools to convert them:

If you haven't already installed b2, I advise you look into WordPress or b2evo instead as b2 is dead. |
