I am starting a a blogging community to be associated with our internet radio station (http://www.RadioLeft.com)
So, I am starting to look at blogging software.
I'm very interested in the comparison between b2, b2evolution, and WebPress. I'm also interested in any other blogging software out there.
Here are a few features that are of special importance to me:
*Blog posting via email.
*RSS Syndication of blogs
*The ability to easily create multiple separate blogs running from a single code installation (subdomain or subdirectory blogs)

If you can get b2+++ installed has multiple separate blogs not sure about the mail update .I know Pmachine has multiple separate blogs and mail blog but that one cost .

What is the status of b2? It appears there is no organized development effort.
I notice that you are using b2evolution for your site.

I would say b2 is dead and wordpress will be in it's place .
B2evolution has as many blogs as you want but know wahy to make it so one person has their own blog (maybe in a later release it may be done but would have to ask at that forum )
Yes I use it and nice to run .

While b2 is dead, after talking to the creator of it Mr V. as I call him, he told me that he was A - still running b2 for his own blog, and B - would be writing a new blogging solution, and posting info off www.cafelog.com when he had finished with it. Soo yea- unless his plans have changed, I'm planning on running b2 till he's done with his new blogging tool, and converting over with a b2 to ? solution - as if he writes new software and all - he'll need a converstion himself afterall

XianghuaALPHA, when did you talk to Michel? I'm kinda confused because, since the big hype about making WordPress the official branch of b2, then you say he's making another? I'm not doubting your word (have no reason to), but I'm just wondering when you talked to him.

Yeaaa. Hi.
I don't know about it anymore either. I talked to him a while back, at least a few weeks prior to the post I'd guess? Anyway, but after going to find a damn copy of b2 to install on my new domain / server / yea - I cannot find annnything! So I panicked, and contacted a WP guy asking if he knew where to find b2, since all I saw was WP now... He told me a few things, one of which included that Michel was using WP now for his blog...
...Now that'd negate the "I use b2 for mine - so I'll need a converter from b2 to my new solution too" sooo yea. Ugh.
I'm at the point where I'd like the b2 or b2 like solution - that works - and does lj cloning and I'd be happy. The WP guy - of course heh - supported and pressed WP alot, and also - yea. Like. Suggested just getting a cloner / whatever the "api clients" are called to just clone that way...
In the end I'm hoping to find some solutions on the forum here soon... else I'll end up with WP and NO DAMN LJ LOVE! Which will make me sad. And also, I'll kinda have felt like I sold out for some strange reason haha.
