i have a problem similar to http://tidakada.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=758&highlight=backslashes and http://tidakada.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=2008&highlight=backslashes.

a backslash is inserted every time i have a single or double quote, which is especially frustrating because then all my urls fail to work. i don't care about comments, because the site that has this problem doesn't need comments - but the slashes still show up on the front page, and in the urls, and in b2edit.php when it displays all past posts. can anyone come up with a fix?[/url]

I'm having the same problem. I've got the latest source for v0.6.2.1.

I'm relatively new to PHP, but it appears he is calling addslashes when get_magic_quotes_gpc is ON. That means everything is double-slashes, so then stripslashes just removes one set. If I'm right, this would only affect people running under PHP where magic quotes is ON. Seems like it would appear more often as my host keeps that on. You have to respect it.

I'm trying to debug it now. I'll post a solution if I find one.
