Yes, I did put it in my template (index.php) - not my b2template.php file - that latestcomments (5, 20) part (can't remember the exact code).
And in my b2template.functions.php file I added the "include" latestcomments stuff, right after the last } and before the ?>, and I created the latestcomments.php file with your code.
That all works. And all this stuff works in WordPress, I've put in some other hacks too. I just don't know about the other stuff I posted in the last post. The latest comments works great. I just need to know if I put it in the wrong place which is causing my template not to work properly or why the {\rtf stuff is showing up.
Thanks , I wish I understood this stuff a little better... I am learning a little about how it works. _________________ jackiefg |

I didn't modify that one.
Did you modify "b2template.php" file? _________________ jackiefg |

Your site seems to be working fine. Have you fixed your problem? _________________ Michael P. |

Yes, the latest comments thing works fine - I didn't get the problem fixed with the template (and I mean the template where I post my blogs, not my index.php).
That's the one I'm asking about - that's the one that has that error message that I was talking about.
While I find that I am able to post, I still have that {\rtf stuff at the top and although I can post, It shows up with an error after I post. So the post shows up on my blog, but it doesn't show up properly when I submit - I have to re login to get back to where I post (which I assume is the b2template.php file - which I didn't touch). _________________ jackiefg |

Check to see if there are any empty break lines before "<?php" and after "?>" in either latestcomment.php and b2template.functions.php files. If there are, delete them and upload in ASCII format. _________________ Michael P. |

Alrighty, I got it working properly - all I did was reupload the latestcomments.php in ascii mode and everything is fine now. _________________ jackiefg |
