alright, I'm pretty sure I did everything right, and filled everything in, but when I went to the install page I got this error.

"Now creating the necessary tables in the database...

doh, can't create the table "b2posts" in the database.

query:
CREATE TABLE b2posts ( ID int(10) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment, post_author int(4) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL, post_date datetime DEFAULT '0000-00-00 00:00:00' NOT NULL, post_content text NOT NULL, post_title text NOT NULL, post_category int(4) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL, post_karma int(11) DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (ID), UNIQUE ID (ID) )

error:
Table 'b2posts' already exists"

or just look at it here http://roxxary.indil.net/b2-0.6.2-20030524/b2install.php

I have no idea what is causing this problem so help please?

Read the error, "Table 'b2posts' already exists", which means you've already got a copy of b2 installed on that database, or someone else does.

Best thing to do is (if you're the sole user of the database and if b2 is the only thing on it) is to delete the database, and start from scratch.

well, I'm just a hostee, so I guess I'm not the sole user...so should I just delete my b2 folder and just set it up again?

No, your host will have to delete the database, just like I said.
