Sushubh, you prolly got a deal, I'll probably look at upgrading just as soon as I've got a better handle on api updaters or whatever, and WP kinda calms down some of their storms, and or Mr V announces he's not going anywhere with his lovin, and blah blah blah.
Well anyway - I am sorrah for all the random crap I've spluttered into this thread - I got a mirrored copy of .6.2.1 and the LJ update, and updated to 7 - and am rollin clean and smooooth.
I thank you to Mister44 for a awesome mod man - you rock.
For people that might have problems later...
If you make a entry....
and your lj.com/users/yournameHere refreshes about every 3 seconds...
not on comments pages...
and not on friends view...
but for SOME MYSTERIOUS REASON - JUST on the damn front page of your LJ your getting a 3 second refresh... for no reason... at all...
Take out 5 - and make sure your upgraded to that .7 inc lovin. It'll magically fix it. Yes - you'll probably have to copy down the content of the old entry, delete IT, and then reput it up - but as far as I can tell - then it works. Yea. Odd.
Anyway - thanks again M44.

Kinda a unfair list in spots though...
Cause last I checked - I'm using and or under the impression I have - in b2 -
Comment notify via email [continuous use]
Text blog from cell phone functionality [haven't used]
Weblogs.com and blo.gs auto-pingers [was using last night]
[I think this should probably say "improved"] - Comment moderation
But yea. That does show some awesome features I have yet to SEE on any WP write up. I thank you for the table! And second the request for comparisions to others too - I'd like to see that somewhere if other's have seen / done it... _________________ [ [ - - There can be only 2 or 3 - - ]]

IMPORTANT TIP TO THOSE USING THESE FILES FOR b2 STILL -
Make sure you've gotten the most recent he patched up to - which was unfortunately not .6.2.2 - but was at least .6.2.1 - and also - upgrade the lj to .7's patch here -
http://frcooper.com/xm/lj/
and also also ALSO - dl that damn patch found on / in this entry - http://cafelog.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=8109
I was assuming the problem the guy [who Mister44 was talking to from the bottom of the 4th page in this thread] was having - would be FIXED by .6.2.1 version 5 blah blah balh.... Unforutantely NO - it wasn't - so in order to be up to date and FULLY WORKING as far as I can tell - you must follow those steps.
[problem that comes from not doing that last one - you get this error]
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: add_filter() in [[my path to b2]]\b2-include\lj_update.php on line 5
when trying to get to the profile page...
So yea. It works - but you have to yea. Get htat done...
...now I just need to figure out what 'calls' I have to do to post my lj cool stuff of "music" and "mood" on the b2 entries

Ok, I've made it through the entire thread, and I still dont' understand how to fix my problem. >_< I installed the b2-0.6.1-20021104+ljupdate-0.5.tar.gz file, because it said that b2ljinstall.php was already integrated in it. But it looks like the first time I installed b2, and I never saw a checkbox to post to LJ entries. ^^; Furthermore, when I try to view my profile, I get this message:
Quote: | Fatal error: Call to undefined function: add_filter() in /home/hakunu/public_html/log/b2-include/lj_update.php on line 5 |
Should I reinstall b2 by itself and then just install the hack by itself? |

Yes, if you read above I just finished posting about the fact that you **MUST** go ahead and patch up to .7 or else you'll get that error mesage.
Once you get past that error message, you can then put in your LJ info in the first place, and then be able to post... Also make sure you go into your config file and turn LJ on in there too....

Okay I did that, but now I get the error :
Quote: |
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/hakunu/public_html/log/b2-include/xmlrpc.inc on line 629
|
Everything else seems to work okay except that.
Edit It posts it into b2 but it
a) says there is no mood set
b) says there is no music set
c) doesn't post it in livejournal[/b] |

So the 629 error went away? That one I'm not too sure about...
However... As for the no moods and yea. Welcome to the not so awesome glitches in this software
I'm not sure if it's length - cause I write long - or if it's the way I set the mood [click and drag vs click and click vs click and arrow down] or if I should always hit return in the music box, or if it's just that the software is glitchy - or if it's just got too short of a time out [realize- when you hit submit your software is not only updating Lj - and it's REALLY SLOW SELF SOME DAYS - it's been down randomly too yesterday - but your also updating bl.ogs and that other one yea.]
So - the solution. Go back, upon time out / white screen error, to b2edit.php [I have a browser short cut] - click edit - move a word, edit the moods back into place, whatever - and click submit. This usually does it for me.
Is it the best solution - no. Does it work for me just about 100% of the time - yes. When it doesn't work - I rinse and repeat, and have no problems.
NOTE TO THE NEW - If you delete a post on the Lj side - when you go to delete it on the b2 side - it'll give a error similar in stature to this as well - just the result of the b2 not being able to delete the already deleted Lj post - don't worry - as far as I can tell - it's not a problem.
[I ran into this of course pre.7 upgrade when my first post[s] made my lj front page refresh ever 3 seconds....]
Anyway - good luck, and I think that should be it

I still get the error when I post. I didn't go away, but it does post to b2. :O
I followed the little procedure thing. ^^; And that doesn't work either. Would reinstalling it maybe fix the problem? Maybe it's my integration settings. This is what is on my config file:
Quote: | // ** LiveJournal Integration settings **
// enable livejournal integration
$use_ljupdate = 1;
// database tables' names (change them if you want to have multiple b2's with ljupdate in a single database)
$tableljusers = 'ljusers';
$tableljposts = 'ljposts';
$tableljmoods = 'ljmoods';
// post default settings
// lju_post: 0/1 - post to LiveJournal
// lju_disablecomments: 0/1 - disable commentting on the post at LiveJournal
// lju_sourcefooter: 0/1 - include a link back to the b2 post
// lju_appendcategory: 0/1 - append the category to the post title. (stupid LJ)
$lju_post = 1;
$lju_disablecomments = 0;
$lju_sourcefooter = 1;
$lju_appendcategory = 1;
// ** end LiveJournal Integration settings ** | [/quote] |

So - the error happens - no matter what - every time?
Ironically I had a time out / error today and the error is VERY similar to what I got, I get like 687 or something, and yea, all it takes is me going back - and following that proceedure...
Have you patched up to .7?
Have you put in your info for lj? [ There is a page you can hit called test or whatever - to make sure it works as well ]
Have you hit that page?
You've definately edited your config file?
Are you sure you've got the 'clone to lj' clicked at the bottom of the b2 edit page?
And yea, if all else fails, re-install.... I just am very surprised that it didn't work....
The lil 'proceedure' has and continues to work for me when I have time out errors - but I once again have all the up to .7 patches, I have the config file totally filled out, and I've got it yea, for sure cloning at least once. If it's posting to your b2 - and not your lj - 99% of the times I've found it to be in those... I'm running the exact same install, and have access to the same info you now have... Make sure you've covered all those bases.

Yeah, I messed with the config. :/ I've also updated to .7.
It might be the information I put in for LJ, but all I had to put in was the username (that's all it seemed to ask for), and I know I got that right. Where do I put in my password? Cos that might be the problem! ^^
Thanks for all of your help so far. I really appreciate it~ |

Yea for the record on my FIRST install - which someone else did totally heh, I put in the wrong password / info - and then it like - disappeard - so I've seen odd stuff... Anyway go to this file
www.whateveryour site is.yea/bloglocation /b2-include/lj_probe.php
Since we are both running the same config - and IF YOU GOT THE PASS AND LJ INFO RIGHT - then you should get something like this
Code: | Testing LJUpdate with PHP: 4.3.2 (Zend: 1.3.0)
Initialized LJClient PHP-LJRPC/0.0.7
LJUpdate should be functional - check the username and password. |
That'll tell me / us something and yea.
If you get wrong pass word or whatever - go into your "my profile" - and put in the right info / try it again. Good luck

I still get this error:
Quote: |
Testing LJUpdate with PHP: 4.3.4 (Zend: 1.3.0)
Initialized LJClient PHP-LJRPC/0.0.7
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/hakunu/public_html/log/b2-include/xmlrpc.inc on line 629
|
with the error on the xmlrpc.inc >_o i think i'm just going to reinstall and upgrade one step at a time, and see if that doesn't solve it |

That is VURRA odd. Hmm, when you do it this time around, perhaps make sure you do .5, then .6, the .7? Beyond that - I cannot think of anything else I can say...
Mister44? Anyone? Heh. I find it very familiar the error she's havnig, but yea, I'm rolling little to be able to fix it seems
