This isn't strictly a b2 problem although I am trying to use b2.

I am using a terribly old version of Dreamweaver (1.2a) which will insist on re-writing any html code entered and whichs turns out mush from any page containing php. <?php and ?> cause all sorts of terrors as it tries to re-write the php as 'good' html.

DW 1.2 doesn't have the option to setup custom tags. Macromedia's own less than brilliant solution is to comment out the php tags thus - <!?php (another option I have come across is to enclose all php in comment tags).

Either of these solutions results in php code that that isn't mutilated by Dreamweaver, is identified as php and which is run on the server BUT (and it is a big but) because the php code within a comment browser refuse point blank to render anything thus no screen output!

I'm a bit of a newbie and have been managing a charity site at http://swedauk.org and need to use Dreamweaver to consturct the pages, I am also now needing to use php (for b2 and the like) but can't.

Any help would be gratefully received and appreciated as after hours of trying I am truly stuck!

Thanks for any thoughts,
Paul
