I think a post that is sticky (to show at the top of every page or the first page) would be cool. It could be an "About this Blog" or "Why I started doing this" or "About me". Manifesto?
I am going to try to modify the index.php file in order to just have some static html at the top of mine, so my needs will likely be filled.

Hi there,
Its actually pretty easy to modify the template. There's really only a small amount of the code in the template that absolutely has to be there. Once you know that, you can just work on a html layout and then stick in the b2 stuff whereever you want it. I've done that on my site because I needed an explanation for my blog (its not going to be a regular blog). Plus I actually really disliked the look of the default template. ;o) This post is actually really handy for anyone wanting to change the template or add some static stuff to your b2 site:
