|
|
the subject says it all, but basically, if you look here: http://mesmerized.wont-be-ignored.net/index2.html i have an embarrassingly ugly horizontal scrollbar.
i searched several times for about an hour on this topic, but no one had a good description on how to remedy this matter. i just want to adjust the blog margins so that i can get rid of the horizontal scrollbar, and so that the text does not have to tape itself against the vertical one. thanks very much! |

You mean iframe margins, right?
I don't see any horizontal bar, using MS IE 5.0
I don't see any text either, just a bunch of annoying smileys. Maybe you should have a look at your .css. _________________ Sigg3 dot net - because you're worth it! |

um there's a black background with white text... maybe that's why you can't see any text, your browser doesn't support iframes?! or transparent iframes? i dont know.. but please is there any way i can expand the b2 margins? sorry and thank you so much. |

The b2 margins??
Do you mean expanding your iframe border in width or what??
Getting rid of the horizontal border, which I can't see (suspecting it has something to do with your individual setup on your screen settings), should be done through .css. _________________ Sigg3 dot net - because you're worth it! |

i'm sorry for being confusing.
i have tried to expand the IFRAME width even by 75 (from 425 to 500), which one would think would make the horizontal scroll disappear, but to no avail -- the horizontal scrollbar remains.
i just need to know if there is any way to shrink the width of the B2 blog, so that i can get rid of the horizontal scrollbar.
for example:
this is what it looks like with a horizontal scrollbar. y(ou)
can read and read n read but it eventually gets cut o(ff)
*you would have to scroll to see the ff and the ou*
***if i make the B2 blog width smaller, then it can fit less, therefore:***
this is what it looks like without a horizontal
scrollbar. it fits less text but it doesn't cut
anything off, because the b2 blog width has
been shortened. how would i do this?
i hope i've made myself clear enough. sorry, and thanks again sigg3. you seem to be the only one who could help me, and i appreciate it!! |

I'm far from the only one who can help you:)
Shrinking the width of the b2, as you call it, could be done by tables. If your iframe is 500 in width, you could go down abit on the b2. By "HTML logic" however, this doesn't have anything to do with your problem, yet it may work;
Wether this solves the problem is a totally seperate question, tho;
I do believe your problem lies with the iframe and your css. My brother: http://www.koew.tk had the same issue. I'd suggest contacting him.
If you need his e-mail, just PM me.
I see now on your webpage that you say you've fixed it. I guess I'm out of the picture then.
I'd still check out the possibilities of making the page viewable to others not using the same browser as you. _________________ Sigg3 dot net - because you're worth it! |
