i cannot for the life of me figure out how to use this blog. i've read everything and i can't figure out how to use <?php link_pages("<br />Pages: ","<br />","number") ?> where do i put it? how come it doesn't show up?

Have you read the readme? ( http://cafelog.com/readme.html )

It's probably supposed to be within the b2-loop. If so, the readme has got the tag marked with a little, organge star.
