Sorry, I havent templated B2 in a while, but I forget... Is there an easy way to make a custom archive page? I know you can put an include to inclue b2archives.php and I tried editing b2archives.php but that's too confusing. I wasnt sure if there was an easy way to customize the archives.... Thanks!

In what way do you want to customize 'em?

Anywho, I just copied my index.php (to copy the layout), removed the blogcontent and replaced with the <?php include(b2archive.php); ?>

Hi,

I am new to PHP in general and b2. this forum has been really helpful in getting the basics of my blog set up Smile
What I would like to do now is (I think) similar to the above question. my site is at www.aelfwine.net (the b2 blog is in the iframe) and the blog by itself is www.aelfwine.net/b2/index.php

I would like to edit the archive template so that links to the archives appear on the same line, with a divider between each link, instead of being below each other in a column. so I would like the line below "the history I II III ..." to look like (for example):

august 2004 - july 2004 - june 2004 - may 2004

I would also like the font of the archive links to be made smaller so that they tie in with the font and styles of the line above them i.e. that line which begins "the history.."

I have tried meddling with b2archives.php and now on the main page i see this:

"august 2004july 2004"

It is the same thing when I click on 'july 2004' to view it. They are on the same line (good) but there is no separator between the 2 words (argh). And when I click on 'august 2004' the archive links revert to being below one another.

can anybody please give me some ideas as to how to edit b2archive.php to get my layout the way i want it?

thank you very much!

Umm, if you still get the spacing problem, try putting in:   for a space.
