Just a simple short question, is there a way to change the word limit for posts on b2? (if indeed it's the number of words that's limited) 2000 seems to be the maximum.

I don't think the limit is 2000. The database field can take around 60,000 characters (which could be increased if you use phpMyAdmin to change the data type). Are you referring to Preview? That does have a limit because instead of saving the post it adds the text to the URL and there there is a limit which you can't get round.

Even if Preview cuts it off at 2000 the whole post will be saved and show up in the blog.

If this limit is a problem you can use an Unpublished category which only you can see http://cafelog.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=6665
