Would it be possible to create a hack/mod similiar to what Yahoo uses for new e-mail registrations?
In other words, if someone wanted to post a comment, they would have to type in the sequence of letters/numbers shown in an image, otherwise the comment would not go through.

I don't know if it's helpful at all, but here's a link to a registration image validation hack that phpbb uses:
