I'm trying to help a friend build a website with an image gallery, a blogger, and a chat room (among other things). I'm fine with designing and building the front end, but I'm lost at connecting things to databases. She's hosting on vDeck. They offer these services and I've already installed the blogger, but I don't know how to connect it to a database. I'm not sure if vDeck supplies a database or if we have to upload and install one. Has anyone here hosted with vDeck and installed a blogger (or gallery or chat room)? Can you *please* take a few minutes to help walk me through it?
I apologize for being soooo clueless. I maybe bit off more than I can chew when I said I'd help with this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can't simply upload a database, your host must support MySQL & PHP. _________________ Michael P.

Okay, I'll check with vDeck. I know they support php, and I suspect that they also support SQL. So then I get back to - how do I make the connection between the installed blogger and the database? Or is the connection an automatic part of installing the blogger?

Other than setting some configurations, it'd be automatic. _________________ Michael P.
