|
|
I'm sorry to come up with this decision.
Too numerous are the threads about problems installing b2 on a Windows server, and too many times it all comes down to a misconfiguration of the php.ini file.
Since this is NOT a problem with b2 it is quite innapropriate.
Here are steps to ensure when you edit php.ini to have b2 run properly on Windows (or elsewhere):
- register_globals ON
- include_path must have '.' in it
- error_reporting should not be as paranoid as showing Warnings all the time. you'll know what I mean when you have a screen filled with Warnings.
These are the answers to most common problems that users encounter.
For more information about configuring PHP on Windows, I'm sorry but I'll have to say RTFM:

And you've already tried out the fix listed right above your post? I figured I'd ask since the experts are gonna ask you anyway.. |

u dun need php.ini, u just make sure tt ur host have php and mysql and the versions of php and mysql must be or higher than that required of b2.

PHP/mySQL is something that your host has to install for you, unless you are the host. Unless you are running the site off of your own computer, then no, you don't need to download PHP. _________________ When you need a frag, I will be there... |

Thanks for the tips here, I followed the 3 instructions at the top to set this up on my windows box to test it out before putting it up on my server (unix) and was able to get going without incident. |

Why IIS? If your host is IIS, I recommend moving for I wouldn't trust their stability and security much. And if your local machine is IIS, I say kill it and download Apache |
