Hi,

Not sure exactly where this bug resides (with the Mac, IE4.5, PHP or B2) but I've been having image upload problem with a friend using an iMac running IE4.5. I'm wondering if anyone else has come across this issue.

Basically they're making jpegs using Photoshop, browsing and uploading them, dropping the correct code and path in, but the images aren't displaying. I've checked the server and the images are getting there (view www.zachwalker.com - 29.12.02), so it's like the files are getting corrupted.

Anyone come across anything like this before?

Alex

It's most likely IE that's doing it. Being a 50/50 mac/pc user, I can tell you flat out that IE:MAC sucks (colorful adjectives ommited). Get a copy of Mozilla and see if THAT works.

Hi,

With M$ bashing aside, I note that if I click and hold (on a mac) and down load the image file, the file opens locally with an image editor or IE. I also tested it on an old netscape, same kid of result.

So it may not be IE on your friends mac, but the editor they're using. Have them try a test. Have them take one our your images and download that to their mac and then post that image back to your b2 site. Does that image appear correctly on the page? If so its something to do with their editor, if not, it may well be ie4.5. BTW, have they tried IE 5.1.5?

Regards,
michael e
