I've been planning to redesign my websites for nearly two years now, but have constantly put it off for so many reasons; mainly because I knew I would have to design a sql db from the ground up to make anything like I wanted to.

Then time progressed and I thought, hell scratch that, maybe I should just install php-nuke and make the best of it... I tried, but it was so huge... too much for me to modify easily.

Then I stumbled upon www.cafelog.com, and I thought - wow, this is a nice site (I love that woman). And then I saw this little b2 sign and some talk about downloads...

I tried it out... I was hooked! Although it isn't perfect for my use "out of the box" it's so easy to modify :-) It's simple and mostly well written!

So, I'm now redesigning even more of my websites than I had planned. It's great!!!

I haven't blogged at all before, so I don't know of any other "similar" products, nor if Michel has written everything from scratch or what else, but it's still great, and it's so good to have "direct" contact with a developer that actually responds and cares. And it's GPL! Hooray! (Just a note; I work for a company that has a philosophy that everything should be GPL...)
