ok....i just installed b2. i think i did a decent job, but mostly i'm having problems with changing the look of it.

for example, i kinda want my blog to look something like kiss-my-kitty.com. but i don't know how to customize it like that =/

it's not much yet, only a test blog entry.

also, i'm having a problem with my comments pop-up page. i've tried editing the files for it to go to the right URL but it keeps going to my 404 page.

and, i would like for them to NOT be on a pop-up page, since my computer tends to be stubborn and not show pop-ups. o_o

other than that...i'm wondering how to use smilies. do i just use an img src tag like i would for an image on a regular webpage, or some other type of code?

ok...i know that's a lot to deal with, but i would REALLY appreciate any help that you guys can give me.

I've read it at least 20 times.

Edit b2layout.css (default) or make your own stylesheet to "customize".

If your popup keeps going to a 404, you need to check wether you actually have uploaded the file, how you call it (see the template), and wether you load both b2commentspopup.php and b2comments. You want b2comments, so you can remove the popup code.

Explorer is obsolete, baby. Go Firefox!

To have clickable smileys and all that, you can download b2 smileys 2.2 from http://www.sigg3.net/cafelog/

.. I won't help you design your site, sorry, I think you should have the oppurtunity to learn it for yourself. Give it some time and you'll be amazed over what you can accomplish:)

haha, i wasn't asking you to help me design my site....i've been doing this for years, i'm just new to php.

anyway, thanks for the suggestions....i'll study the readme file. that would be the best way to go.
