Hello,

I'm relatively new to blogs, but my research interest is about cooperation online and community building; we're looking for tools to build trust among strangers and to facilitate collaborative work via social activity awareness mechanisms.

I was wondering if b2 can offer some sort of awareness information. For example, who is online? what is he doing? why is he doing that? How is he doing that? where is he? This kind of information could be in the form of realistic metaphors or, even better, abstract visualizations. See, also, here.

Also, another possible feature would be some kind of reputation / recommender system, maybe in the form of 'karma' voting, to evaluate trust among users/authors.

I would appreciate any feedback, this is a very fascinating area.

You can code it to have all sorts of additional info in the db, but it requires alot of coding:)
But there's also b2 Customfields, that can be pretty flexible if you know some php. (Download from http://sigg3.net/cafelog)

but, b2 is essentially a blog.
