OS X users can change the b2profile.php javascript to this in place of the 'window.open' code that is already there. This works in OmniWeb 4.05 as well.

[ Edited by michel: added linebreaks in the code so it wouldn't break the table (just concatenate everything if you copy this code), and the correct php tag... and users can't do that since no user has got that version of b2 yet ]

give me OmniWeb's user-agent string, and that of MacOS's IE 5 and it will display the right code. It all works on browser-detection.

this is not in any released version yet. I have coded the bookmarklet page itself, and tweaked the login page to accomodate it, but since the javascript strings are different among different browsers I have to try to support as many browsers as possible (even though some may object I could just stick to IE5 Windows and do the finger sign to others...)

Don't do the finger =) I do care a lot about this script, it's running on my OS X at home and it is my choice for my own weblog and my girlfriend's.
Ive tweaked it a bit to turn it into a photoweblog, the result it's not "pro" but it works =)

btw, you should change this "leave a comment" form because the name field is as a input value of http://

uhm, I didn't see any field with http:// except the URL one... by the way the info is now taken from cookies, just so you don't have to re-type it each and everytime for a new comment : )

Strange... welll, the first input field in this form has the following html code

The blog is not ready yet, right now it's only black times on white background. I'm working on it.
As for the the changes, i've done a slight change on QuickUploader script to upload an image, return the img src path and then I copy-paste it into the body of the post.
I'm still waiting for a b2 release with that "more.." link =) to finish my blog.

ah, I've spotted the bug. while working with different versions of b2comments.php I accidentally mixed some lines, and the email and url weren't set by default anymore. Fixed now.

What is b2 ?
A classy news/weblog tool (aka logware).

How does it work ?
You type something and hit "blog this" and in the next second it's on your page(s). You can write extended entries, or even entries that span multiple pages. You can also use BloggerAPI clients to post to your b2 weblog.
What's original in b2 ? Pages are generated dynamically from the MySQL database, so no clumsy 'rebuilding' is involved. It also means faster search/display capabilities, and the ability to serve your news in different 'templates' without any hassle.

Requirements ?
A server that can run PHP4, and a MySQL database (you can install b2 in an already existing database, and you can put several b2's in one database).

Where can I download it ?
b2 0.6 is the latest public release.
You can also visit the CVS server for the latest code, at your own risks.
